According to sources the actress decided to leave Mumbai and head to New York.  A spokesperson has been stating that the actress had various health issues that needed to be attended to immediately.

Alia Bhatt’s new de-glam avatar look in her upcoming film Udta Punjab has created a buzz on social media websites. In a recent interview this leggy lass stated that she was not at all uncomfortable swearing on screen, and said - ‘I am comfortable doing what fits in my character’. 

A recent tabloid that mentioned her abusing onscreen in her role in Udta Punjab stated,-‘ If the character is angry or upset or distraught , Alia doesn't have anything to do with it. It is the character. So when I am doing anything whether it is dancing crying or abusing or jumping or anything, I am doing it as the character. I may not necessarily feeling like that at that time but I am doing it because that is the way it is in the film, in the script.’.

The film is slated to release on 17th June, 2016, and stars Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh.

According to sources in a recent interview about her working with her father, she stated- ‘I am doing a play, a theatre production with my dad, which is something that I have wanted to do for a long time now. And finally I have got a chance to do it. I am reading the script right now and going through all the necessary preparations.’

This is Nitya Mehra's directorial debut. She has earlier worked as an assistant director in several films, including "Life of Pi", "Don" and "The Namesake”.

According to sources the first look of the actors was revealed on Wednesday, while Katrina is sported with short hair wearing glasses, Sidharth Malhotra looks at her.  Reports suggest that the protagonists will be seen in this love story between the age of 18 to 30. We shall also get a  chance to have a look at their several looks donning upon this age transition.

This handsome hunk Sidharth will be seen playing the role of a maths teacher, and has also recently posted a picture on social media from the sets of the movie and captioned the picture as, "Math lessons anyone?”
