Govinda aka Chi Chi who’s movies haven’t been released since the past three years, had recently bowed out of the Nikhil Advani ‘(Kal Ho Na Hofame) directorial venture Hero, where he was to play Sunil Shetty’s daughter Athiya Shetty’s father. Buzz is that after a lot of yes and no, Govinda has finally agreed upon playing the megastar Ranbir Kapoor’s father, in the film Jagga Jasoos.
Apparently, Bollywood’s heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor will be playing the role of a 17 year old boy in Jagga Jassos is said to be a joint venture of Ranbir and Anurag Basu.
As per a tabloid when Jr. Kapoor was asked about his role in the film, he apparently said that he has agreed to be a part of the film, but only verbally as the formal agreement is yet to be done.
In a recent interview Chi Chi stated that his movies haven’t been released in the last three years and soon enough, along with the father’s role, he will be approached for the grandfather’s role as well.
Well, we would love to see this unusual pairing onscreen! Jagga Jasoos is slated for a next year release.
