Sridevi won't play a baddie in Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor

The ageless beauty of Bollywood Sridevi, is one the few actresses to have made a smashing comeback in Bollywood after a 15-year-long hiatus, with her blockbuster film English Vinglish. Buzz is that the filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor had offered her a role in his upcoming project titled Fitoor but the diva refused it, as it was a negative role.

Sridevi is known for her versitality, and her fans seem to be eagerly waiting to see her power-packed performance in her next!

According to sources, Abhishek Kapoor’s directorial venture Fitoor has Katrina Kaif as the leading lady. The Shuddh Desi Romance hunk Sushant Singh Rajput, who was earlier a part of the film, recently walked out of the project.

If rumours are to be believed, Abhishek wanted Sridevi for a role, which was played by Robert De Niro in the 1998 big screen version of the novel  (Charles Dickens' Great Expectations), after which Abhishek tweaked the script and made it female-oriented.

A source from the production house stated that Sridevi couldn't be part of the film, as she thought she wasn't the right choice for the role.

With the many changes happening in the film, we wonder will Fitoor ever see the light of the day?
