Superstar Hrithik Roshan aka the Greek God of Bollywood has left no stone unturned to get into shape for his upcoming superhero film Krrish 3, and his personal trainer Kris Gethin vouches for his dedication towards fitness.

While the superhero film Krrish 3 has already created hype amongst audience and media, we are sure to see many fans drooling on Hrithik’s body. Kris Gethin is the man behind Hrithik’s hot bod, and has helped a badly out-of-shape Hrithik Roshan go from flab to fab in 3 months flat.

In a personal interview with Kris, he talks about the megastar’s diet and fitness secrets. Read on to know what Kris had to say about the drastic transformation of this actor in a superhero avatar.

What is the best part about working with the Hrithik Roshan?
The best part is that he is very dedicated. There’s a good and a bad side to him being so dedicated because he is either a 110% on or 110% off.

How did you come across Hrithik Roshan?
I’ve written a book titled Body By Design, Hrithik read the book and my name popped up a several times. Hrithik had a slip disk after which he was asked to take complete bed rest, however Krrish 3 was about to start, he read my book and gave me a call. This is how I happened to get in the industry.

Apart from Hrithik which other celebrities have you worked with?
I have trained Mahesh Bhupatti, John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Jakie Bhagnani and Karan Johar. When Karan came to me he told me that he wanted to feel better about himself, confident and energized we landed up pulling almost 10 kilos from him.

Can you mention one weakness and strength of Hrithik Roshan?
His strength is his mind and weakness is his body. He has had a lot of injuries which include knee problems, couple of slip disks, and he has a very small bone structure. Even though he is got a amazing physique he had to maintain it day in and day out.

Was it difficult to bring about the tranformation in his body?
It was easy as he has full muscles. Even though he puts on 2 pounds he creates an illusion of looking a lot bigger than what he actually is. When we transformed him we pulled him down to like 67 kilos whereas earlier he weighed 81. I hadn’t met Hrithik before and when I came to Bombay he said that he had put on a lot of weight; he had been drinking, and smoking a lot since his injury. He tried really hard and ended up losing around 11 kilos of weight.

What kind of exercises did you tell Hrithik to follow?
We had kept a 12 week schedule but Hrithik’s transformation happened in a span of 10 weeks.I have been working with him for over a year now. There were a lot of exercises he followed the most important of them was (DTP) Dramatic Transformation Principle, that targeted every type of muscle. The exercise was perfect for the stability, power and strength of every muscle. Hrithik was able to not only build muscles but also burn a lot of fat

What are your comments on the brain surgery that happened recently?
I was very surprised on the fact of how quickly he recovered. He has always been in high spirits. When I visited him in the hospital I was hoping that he would be lying down and have his head shaved off. I was shocked to see him out of the bed, walking around, he looked very happy. I think this will make him even stronger; this is a blessing in disguise. He is very humble, down to earth guy.

Which was Hrithik’s problematic body part?
From injury perspective I would say his back, knees but to stimulate growth it was probably his legs, he has long limbs.

Any finger snap tip for people who want to look as great as Hrithik?
A lot of people say that Hrithik can afford a trainer, but I have got a video series online called the Hardcore Daily Video Trainer, and it is the most watched video series online. It comes down to the character of the person as to how bad they want it. I have had people who have absolutely no commitments. The main thing for people to understand is that it comes down to consistency. There isn’t a secret diet or a secret program.  I suggest people to have the motivation and that only can come from within. If you hand around with smokers or drinkers you may have to find yourself into solitary confinement.

Do you think the supplements or steroids are bad for the body?
In India people say supplements and steroids in the same sentence; they are two totally different things. Just to understand it better a supplement like a protein powder is the derivative of the protein that has been taken from the pasteurized milk without the fat and without the sugar or lactose, which is actually better for you than milk. However steroid is something that is aesthetic and is very unhealthy because your normal hormone production ceases to exist when you start putting this stuff in your body. A lot of personal trainers do recommend steroids, but it would be great if people wouldn’t take steroids.

Indian food is very spicy and oily, so what would you recommend people to eat?
Spices are fine but you need to stay away from a lot of oil. Instead of fried fish you can have it grilled. Start having things that are more standardized like chicken breast, egg whites, fish, and if you are a vegetarian you can opt for low fat paneer, light tofu, soy.

How many meals should one eat in a day?
I recommend 6 meals a day. Hrithik ate 8 meals a day and even John Abraham. It comes to controlling your environment than get controlled by it. I have started working with John a few weeks ago. I met him in London, when I met him I asked him to show me his body and he looked as though he had never worked out. For all the people who think that Hrithik’s earlier pictures were bad, in fact I would say John’s were worst.
